![]() Many of our brothers participate, raising hundreds of dollars for charity, while growing some of the most manly, yet, elegant beards you have ever seen. This year, proceeds were donated to the Good Sports charity.Įach year, our Chapter participates in No-Shave-November. From participating in philanthropies that hit close to home to fun sisterhood activities, college is an opportunity to flourish and grow. We are planning to continue this event in the future and are hoping to collaborate with other organizations on campus to expand our impact.Įach year, during March, our Chapter organizes an NCAA March Madness bracket contest. We are a women’s organization thriving on tradition, leadership, academics and friendship. We did so with the help of many different participants who collected the items, and with the help of our Brothers who transported all the items to local recycling centers. Last semester, we recycled well over five thousand items, much of which would likely have ended up in landfills, and with all proceeds going to local food banks. To learn about a few of our recent events, read below.Įach semester, our Chapter organizes a Bottle and Can Drive, takingn advantage of the New York State Bottle Bill which allows us to receive 5 cents per item we recycle. CUL subscribes to nearly 65,000 journals and serial publications, and provides access. Within its 20 unit libraries, holdings number more than 8 million volumes and 7 million microforms. Over the past year, we have raised thousands of dollars for various charities. Based on the number of volumes in its collections, Cornell University Library (CUL) is one of the ten largest academic research libraries in the United States. The men of the chapter did not even have a chance then to make a final decision and plans. ![]() We also collaborate with other organzations at Cornell in order to ensure our efforts are as beneficial and widespread as possible. That was rather sad because what the Cornell Kappa Sigma chapter could say of itself was that it was one of the oldest and was known for being low-key and studious and virtually never had problems with the IFC or judiciary. Senior who has completed at least six semesters in residence at Cornell (Cornell in Washington and study abroad are included as semesters in residence) and has a GPA within the top 7 percent of those who meet the semester requirement. Each semester, we organize many different events that fundraise or provide service to worth-while organizations, both locally and nationally. ![]() Our Chapter strives to be one of the most active organizations at Cornell University in terms of our philanthropic endeavors. ![]()
